CollaCare Collagen Sponge

CollaCare Sponge is a sterile wound care dressing derived from a natural source of purified bovine or equine type 1 collagen.

 

Description

CollaCare Sponge is a primary dressing that is applied to exudating wounds. It can be cut to fit the wound and used in combination with other semi-occlusive or non-occlusive secondary dressing.  In the presence of exudate or after pre-hydration with a suitable solution, CollaCare sponge transforms into a soft gel-like sheet conforming to the shape of the wound bed and thus maintains intimate contact with the wound.

 

Indication

CollaCare Sponge is used for the lining of tissue defects and management of partial and full thickness wounds such as:

  • Pressure ulcers
  • Venous stasis ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • First and second degree burns
  • Split-skin donor sites
  • Lesions 
  • Superficial injuries.
